François-Henri HOUBART, organist, born in Orléans (France), in 1952, he began studying the piano at a relatively early age, going on to the organ a few years later.
In Paris, he studied harmony and counterpoint with Pierre LANTIER, as well as improvisation with Michel CHAPUIS and Pierre COCHEREAU. Organist at the Church of the Madeleine since 1979, his playing is marked by great freedom which expresses itself admirably in northern music and the Romantic and symphonic repertoires of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The insatiable curiosity of this member of the High Commission of Historic Monuments has notably allowed the public to discover the diversity of organs in the Loiret region of France.
